University Statement Regarding Operations During Tropical Storm Elsa
The University of Florida’s main campus in Gainesville will be closed on Wednesday, July 7 because of Tropical Storm Elsa. Only essential university personnel should report for work. Classes will resume and campus will reopen Thursday, July 8. Alachua County is currently under a tropical storm warning. We ask UF Health clinical and core service personnel to check with their supervisors as to whether they should report to work and provide support to the academic health center for emergency operations. Classes at UF’s Campus Cancelled, Offices Closed July 7
All classes at the University of Florida campus in Gainesville will be canceled and offices will be closed Wednesday, July 7, because of Tropical Storm Elsa. Essential employees should check with their supervisors. Classes will resume and campus will reopen Thursday, July 8. Clinical personnel and all UF Health staff in Gainesville should follow their prescribed procedures. Those on the UF Health Jacksonville campus and in other locations around the state should check for information regarding their campuses.
