Hurricane Helene UF campus services and events updates

This page contains a list of campus operations that have been impacted by Hurricane Helene and will be updated regularly.
  • Florida Fresh Dining will continue to serve the campus community during Hurricane Helene. The Food Hall at Gator Corner & The Eatery at Broward Hall will remain open on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Additional dining information can be found on the Florida Fresh Dining website.
  • Several Gator Athletics events have been canceled or postponed. Learn which events were affected by visiting the Florida Gators website.
  • UF Online Gator Get-Together scheduled for Friday, September 27 has been cancelled. Rescheduling plans will be announced at a later date.
  • The UF Symphony Orchestra will reschedule its performance to Monday, Sept. 30, at 7:20 p.m. in the University Auditorium.
  • P.K. Yonge’s High Tide will be rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the UF Performing Arts Center. Fall sports and the homecoming court will still be celebrated and recognized at the event. More information about rehearsals and details will be sent out closer to the rescheduled date.
  • P.K. Yonge’s Homecoming parade and football game are being rescheduled for a later date. The Homecoming dance is still planned for Saturday, Sept. 28.
  • UF Health hospitals and clinical practices are continuing normal operations. However, the operations schedule for several UF Health facilities throughout the state have been affected by the storm. For up-to-date information about UF Health closures, visit UFHealth.org.
  • The Night Zipline & S’Mores event by RecSports scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26 at Lake Wauburg South Shore has been canceled.
  • The Southwest Recreation Center will open at 1 p.m. Friday.
  • The Reitz Union will open on Friday at 3 p.m. The Reitz Union Hotel will remain open for guests with previous reservations.
  • Newell Hall will open on Friday at 1 p.m.
  • The Student Health Care Center will be open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • GatorNights, along with the Soulfest, will proceed as scheduled on Friday, Sept. 27 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Reitz Union.
