Post Tropical Cyclone Isaias – Final Update

University of Florida officials are monitoring the effects of Post Tropical Cyclone Isaias. Here is what we know today:
Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin around 8:30 p.m. on Friday and weakened rapidly overnight into a post tropical cyclone.
As of the Saturday 5 a.m. advisory, the National Hurricane Center shared the system was producing sustained winds of near 35 mph. Isaias will continue to weaken today and dissipate on Sunday.
All Hurricane and Tropical Storm warnings have been discontinued.
The remnants of Isaias are expected to produce rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend. Localized totals up to 15 inches are possible, particularly within the rain bands across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend.
