Hurricane Milton UF campus services and events updates

This page contains a list of campus operations that have been impacted by Hurricane Milton and will be updated regularly.

• Florida Fresh Dining will continue to serve the campus community during Hurricane Milton. The Food Hall at Gator Corner & The Eatery at Broward Hall will open on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additional dining information can be found on the Florida Fresh Dining website.

• The Student Health Care Center will open for urgent and acute care from 12 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.

• The University of Florida will open the Southwest Recreation Center on the Gainesville campus as a storm shelter on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. for UF students, faculty and staff, and their families.

• Alachua County opened three emergency shelters on Tuesday. Two are pet-friendly, general population shelters and one is a special needs shelter.

• UF Health hospitals and clinical practices are continuing normal operations. However, the operations schedule for several UF Health facilities throughout the state have been affected by the storm. For up-to-date information about UF Health closures, visit UFHealth.org.

• The UF HR 2024 Benefits & Wellness Fair initially scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11 has been canceled.

• Several Gator Athletics events have been canceled or postponed. Learn which events were affected by visiting the Florida Gators website.

• The City of Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS) has reduced the number of routes it serves on Oct. 10. Visit the RTS website for information on which routes will be affected.
