Hurricane Milton UF campus services and events updates

This page contains a list of campus operations that have been impacted by Hurricane Milton and will be updated regularly.

• Florida Fresh Dining will continue to serve the campus community during Hurricane Milton. The Food Hall at Gator Corner & The Eatery at Broward Hall open on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. On Thursday, both halls will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additional dining information can be found on the Florida Fresh Dining website.

• The University of Florida will open the Southwest Recreation Center on the Gainesville campus as a storm shelter on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. for UF students, faculty and staff, and their families.

• Alachua County opened three emergency shelters on Tuesday. Two are pet-friendly, general population shelters and one is a special needs shelter.

• The UF HR 2024 Benefits & Wellness Fair initially scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11 has been canceled.
