UF campus services and events updates
This page, which will be updated regularly, contains a list of campus operations that have been impacted by Hurricane Idalia.
- The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave Meet & Greet is rescheduled to Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 5:30-7:00. The Tuesday. Aug. 29, home volleyball games are being rescheduled for a later date. Blue Wave After School plans to continue to operate with normal hours until further notice.
- The dental center on the Seminole Campus of St. Pete College is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- The Extension Professional Associations of Florida (EPAF) Conference in Daytona Beach this week has been cancelled.
- The Reitz Union will close Tuesday at 3 p.m. and remain closed on Wednesday.
- The Southwest Recreation Center will close Tuesday at 3 p.m. The Student Recreation & Fitness Center, and the facility at Lake Wauburg closed at noon on Tuesday and remain closed on Wednesday.
- The Alan and Cathy Hitchcock Field & Fork Pantry will close Tuesday at 3 p.m. and remain closed on Wednesday.
- The Student Health Care Center will close Tuesday and 3 p.m. and remain closed on Wednesday. For urgent issues, please call 352-392-1161 to speak with an on-call medical provider.
- Gainesville Regional Transit System suspended services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and will not operate on Wednesday, Aug. 30.
- The Southwest Recreation Center which opened as a shelter on Tuesday for UF students, faculty and staff, and their families, shortly after 12 p.m. Wednesday.
- Alachua County opened four shelters, including a special needs and pet-friendly shelters.
